Love Lies On

Laurie was a horse-lover, she asked her parents if she could go for horse riding lesson and they agreed. After a year of lesson, Laurie wanted her own horse and her parents agreed to buy her one if she earned half of the money to buy the horse herself. She worked all summer and saved one-hundred dollar. She was introduced to a woman who was selling it for two hundred dollars. When they walked up to the store, she opened the door, he was an old ginat called rusty. She felt in love with that horse and bought it immediatly. Rusty grew strong and enrgetic for his age, they won horse races, and horse showing contest and took home many blue ribbon. One day rusty was lying in the stables and he nickered softly instead of standing and bellowing. Laurie decided to call a vet, the vet examine Rusty and diagnosed Rusty with cancer. The vet decided to have him put to sleep, laurie started crying sadly. However seeing how sad she was, her father decided to allow rusty to stay with her untill he died. Rusty stayed for another year before the cancer took him. All these years later, laurie still missed him but she realized that love lives on, and that rusty will live in her heart forever.
