Action Hero Governor

California Governor Arnoid Schwarzenegger's action-man leadership style during the wildfire crisis is proving to be a hit with residents, thousands of whom have begun returning to their neighbourhoods after spending most of the week in relief centres. Mr Schwarzeneggers evacuate the people quickly and send food, water and hosuing for the victims of the wildfire. He showed good leadership during the inccident and many people was happy with the way he acted.

Failure to follow proper procedures blamed for the murder to two policemen during a drug raid

Two policemen was killed during a drug raid had apparantly not followed proper procedures. There was no back up squad to cordon off the area. In the thursday night shooting, Lance Coprrals K.Jayabalan and M.Alagesan was killed by three gunmen who algihted from a vehicle just as the policemen were about to ambush the house.

Some resident unhappy with 'private' lift

some residents in Pasir Ris will have a 'private' lift , which they would share with just one neighbour, but they are not thrilled with that idea. The lift, will not lead to their flat main door, but their balcony. There are no escape route or staircase and they fear being trapped in the lift if there is a event of a fire or robbery. Others think the additional door at the balcony may also increase the risk of break in.

Sunday Times Food Tour winners will taste,$1,288 dish

10 winner had been picked to go on the sunday time food tour. They will be eating a $1,288 version of a Buddha Jump Over The Wall prepared by chinese restaurant Spring Chunn Yuan. The program for the day is a seven-course lunch at Spring Chunn Yuan, a two hour-spa, a screening of the movie Ratatoullie at Vivocity and a four-course dinner at a italian restuarant Il Lido

Student hacker may opt for jail to cut fine

Scholarship holder Zhao Ke from china is finding out the price for curiosity. For the next 14 months, the 21-year old graduate will have to pay a 15k fine for hacking into raffles junior college's computer system in March. He hack in the computer system wanting to find out how his friends fared in the A-level examination. He decided to go to jail for five weeks during his december holiday to reduce his fine aount by 5,000. Not only he had to pay a 15k fine but also stand to lose his scholarship. Curiosity really did kill the cat this time.
