Alleged bomb-maker caught in UK

A 38-year-old man was charged on Monday with intending to carry out a terrorist attack.Mr Hassan Mohammad Sabri Al Tabbakh, from Brimingham, is accused of compiling a document with instruction on how to make a bomb and stockpile chemicals for such a device. The court had heard that Mr Tabbakh had been arrested near his home on Brimingham last Tuesday Act 2006.

Pilgrims die in bridge collapse

At least 11 people died and hundereds on a religous pilgrimage were missing after an overcrowded bridge collapsed in western Nepal yesterday. Nearly 400 people were said to have been on the bridge across a gorge over the Bheri River, 380km west of the capital Kathmandu, when it collapsed, district officials and police said.

More than 200 Bangladeshi migrant workers who claim that their employers underpaid and abused them have sought refuge outside their country's embassy in Malaysia.
