It is set to be the biggest countdown party in town this New Year's Eve-and the organiser of the Marina Bay Countdown 07/08 and the police are working hard to ensure party revellers remember the night for all the right reasons. Last year, about 160,000 merry marker crowded onto the streets around Marina Bay to watch the fireworks display and usher in the New Year: Organiser are expecting a similar, if not bigger,turnout this year. About 750 police officers will be on the ground for traffic and crowd-control duties.
