Beer bringe ends in cofeeshop murder

In the third murder case in two weeks, a man died on Saturday night after he was punched while drinking with his friends at a coffee shop in Yishun. 51-year-old Lau Ah Song had gone to the coffee shop to meet his friends. A quarrel broke out after the group had a few rounds of beers. Mr Lau was punched and collapsed several metres from the table where he was drinking. The police were alerted at 10.30pm and the paramedics who arrived shortly after pronuced Mr Lau dead at the scene at 10.50pm.
