S'pore rebuts M'sia's 'prejudical' remark
Malaysia claims that the British had asked for permission to build the Horsburgh Lighthouse on the rocky island, and then the Johor ruler gave consent. Professor Jayakumar reiterated Singapore's stand that it does not have a copy of the letters, as many of its document were lost in World War two. Mr Chao Produced anothe rphotograph taken by Singapore a few day ago, and said Malyasia had given a wrong potrayal. Placing the two photograph side by side, Malaysia had exaggerated the size of Johor background by about seven times.
