Jellyfish attack wipes out salmon stock

The only fishing farm in Northern has lost its entire stock of more than 100,000 fish to a spectacular jellyfish attack. The Northern Salmon said billions of jellyfish overhwelmed the fish in two nets about 1.5km off the coast of the Glens of Antrim, north of Belfast, last week. Dozen of the company worker tried to rescue the salmon, but their boat struggled for hours to push their way through the mass of jellyfishh. All of the fish were dead or dying from stings and stress. Untill the past decade tthe mauve stinger have rarely been spotted so far in north in British or Irish waters, and scientist cite that as further evidence of global warming.
