Cheap S'pore-KL fares in sight?

It may be possible, to fly from singapore to Kuala Lumpur without burning a hole in one's pocket by December. The lucrative route has long been monopolised by Singapore Airlines and Malaysia Airlines, resulting in passenger having to pay more than $400 for a round-trip ticket on a flight that take less than 45 minutes. However AisAsia and Tiger Airways which is partly owned by SIA, could only be allowed to fly two flgihts per day onb each route but only during off-peak hours, to soften the blow for MAS.
